At Bánhmì11, we have three generations working together to make bánh mì.
Everything is hand-crafted with the freshest raw ingredients. Our vegetables are supplied by the same market trader we have been buying from for years. Our meat is never frozen and our vegetables hardly stay in the fridge. Our bread is custom-made by The Spence after a unique recipe for that exquisite airy and crispy texture. We make everything from scratch, even the chili sauce. We cook each and every ingredient the same way we do for a big meal at home.
Drawing on the richness of Vietnamese culinary traditions has comforted us throughout the years, making us feel at home whereever we are in the world, whatever stage of life we are in. It has also allowed us to recraft, not just recreate, our culture. Food, we think, because it nourishes life, should be respected and cherished like Life itself.
